Cardon Development Group (CDG) is a fully integrated commercial, multi-family housing and retail development group founded in 2002 by Don Cardon.

OUR history

CDG was founded in 2002 by Don Cardon, who previously served as Director of the Department of Commerce for the State of Arizona. His work in this role allowed him to further hone the collaborative development skills and relationship-building expertise that has enabled CDG to carve out an established niche as one of the most capable and creative developers in the industry.

With a team of professionals well-versed in the legalities of public and private operations, CDG goal was to create partnerships that blend the creativity of private initiatives with the assets and resources of public enterprise. Through leadership, strategic partnerships and a unique—even disruptive—methodology, CDG has been able to transform policy pursuits and find ways to not just get things done, but deliver pioneering developments previously considered unachievable.

Matt Seaman

DEVELOPMENT PARTNER
Matt has been instrumental in the redevelopment of several historic adaptive re-use as properties as well as several new townhouse, apartment and mixed-use development projects in the renown Roosevelt neighborhood in Downtown Phoenix with work featured in the American Planning Association's Planning magazine.
Austin Walker

CONSULTANT
Austin oversees the overall marketing strategy for the company. He also provides support to the strategic planning, project management, and financial oversight of CDG’s development projects, and assists the development team with various tasks related to site entitlement, site development, and construction. In addition, Austin manages the philanthropic initiatives of the company and serves as the Managing Director of VisionFuel, a division of CDG focused on philanthropy.
Tom Vaughn

CONSULTANT

Tom has unique experience and an extensive combination of nationwide real estate management, leasing, and development skills allowing him to operate and lead with an informed global perspective. As a consultant for CDG, he is responsible for the development of CDG’s financial management strategy and contributes to the development of the organization’s strategic goals.
Don Cardon

FOUNDER / CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Don Cardon drives the vision, project initiation, public outreach, and capital structure—including public debt and equity—for all projects. He is known for his disruptive approach of forging private-public partnerships to enable high-impact hard-to achieve developments that have only been realized with CDG’s framework of Vision, Capital, and Capacity.
