Austin Walker is a Development Associate at Cardon Development Group, a fully integrated commercial, multi-family housing and retail development group founded by Don Cardon in 2002. Prior to joining CDG in 2021, Austin attended Grand Canyon University and worked in the front office for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

As a Development Associate, Austin provides support to the strategic planning, project management, and financial oversight of CDG’s development projects. He also assists the development team with various tasks related to site entitlement, site development, and construction, and oversees the overall marketing strategy for the company. In addition, Austin manages the philanthropic initiatives of the company and serves as the Managing Director of VisionFuel, a division of CDG focused on philanthropy.

During his time with the Diamondbacks, Austin oversaw a variety of group programs and worked with various departments in the organization. He was named to the President’s Council in August 2017 for his innovation and creativity in growing a program into one of the most successful programs in Major League Baseball. He was also selected by the Diamondback’s Executive team to participate in the organization's Leadership Academy.

Austin has a B.S. degree in Sports Management from Grand Canyon University (2015). During his time at GCU, he served as the inaugural President of the Sports Business Club. Through ingenuity and strategic thinking, Austin laid the foundation for what is now one of the largest collegiate sports business clubs in the nation. He was also named Outstanding Senior in the College of Business – a distinguished award voted upon by GCU’s leadership to scholars who exemplified academic excellence, service, and faith during their time at GCU.

As a native of Arizona, Austin currently resides in Tempe, AZ. When he’s not working, he enjoys playing hockey, watching sports, and traveling around the world. Having been to 12 countries in the past five years, he is passionate about seeing the world and creating new experiences.
