When Don Cardon stood before community leaders and unveiled his vision for what would become CityScape, it was one of the most audacious ideas ever proposed for downtown Phoenix. Ultimately, Cardon’s vision and leadership led to the formation of Phoenix Future, a collaboration of key business, political and financial leaders who worked in harmony to both envision and empower the creation of CityScape.

Now a flourishing urban space that has reinvigorated downtown Phoenix, CityScape encompasses the three downtown city blocks that constitute ‘Main on Main’.
Don Cardon is widely acknowledged as the sole catalyst for this iconic development, the result of his visionary ideas and skill in consensus building. CityScape remains the largest private, mixed-use investment in downtown Phoenix history.
